I must admit I had to Google "Droid 2" to discover that someone is not using an iphone! This is fun. But should you have cleaned the hub cap first??

Hi, Cody,
Lug nut caps.
In fact, no lugs are involved on most modern wheel attachment schemes. The nuts have their name from historical inertia.
