I had no intention of showing your picture a 3rd time, but it simply deservescthat sustained attention!

This is something one might imagine conjured up for a Disneyland fun insect parade to entertain us all!

So who is this creature entertaining? This is a magnificent investment in coloring. Reminds me of amazing differentiation of related hummingbirds just on the other side of a rain Forrest mountain!

...and what is the evolutionary competitive benefit to us, recognizing this creature at a glance and perceiving this as “amazingly exquisite”, as we all seem to respond reflexly with this same feeling?

Is it poisonous perhaps and the distinctive pattern is a warning?

Thank you Asher it is Paramastax rosenbergi. I am told that it is poisonous and thus the warning color but haven't verified that.
