Hi James,

The contrast of the trees single lamp post and shadows is indeed simple and also stark. I like this kind of image. It works best, I'd imagine, if the set up is entirely simple or else visited by a living thing, be it a bird, puppy, or child. I'd go for the simplest version you have made.

I'd have tried to get to the left, perhaps, to separate the metal from the tree completely and also remove the distracting chairs between the trees on the lower left.

Thank you for the feedback! I have been entertaining the idea of attaching some pieces of string to a bunch of balloons and then thumb tacking them to trees in the middle of the forest somewhere but the problem is I only shoot in black and white. I think this type of image would need color because of the balloons. What do you think!

I like the idea! It's really architectural if the light is used at dawn or sunset.
