Default How to minimize JPG and other artifacts in digital photography.

It is the standard to use 8 BIT jpg images in SRGBB color space on the web. Some professionals use out of the camera jogs to go straight to have the photography album makers prepare wedding books.

For most of us, we have experienced jpf artifacts of jagged lines, exta intervening edges and of course, white halos from aggressive sharpening.

You are invited to contribute your understanding of the 8 BIT jpg image in sRGB and to share your secrets for minimizing or totally avoiding artifacts that either degrade or distract from your intent!

Our purpose is getting to an impressive photograph. So we encourage browsing and then feedback. Consider a link to your galleries annotated, C&C welcomed. Images posted within OPF are assumed to be for Comment & Critique, unless otherwise designated.
