Default Dragonfly Love.......

Male and Female Dragonfly attached together as the female lays her eggs under water.

Eric,

I see the fabulous nature of your pictures and it's a thrill. Still, I cannot figure out the biology! What on earth is going on? It seems like one is connected to the thorax of the other/ How on on earth that is plumbed for mating is puzzling, indeed!

Asher,

After they mate the male will fly around connected to the back of the females head while see lays her eggs in the water. She will deposit eggs in several location and daddy sticks right to her!

Lkely then, he helps in the process some way. Perhaps it is to keep other males away or else to stabilize her during egg laying so she does not drift.
