Love the magpies, Tony. I've seen a few different species in varying locations, but not often enough.

One suggestion if it is physically possible - get lower to the ground so you're shooting more at "eye-level" with them. It can bring the viewer more 'into their world' and sometimes enable a more 'blurred' background to enable your subject to stand out more.
