Default News From Houston

We came to Houston to the Disneyland of Cancer Treatment, MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Of course on the way there was a crying baby as we took of that nearly made my friend Rodney storm of the plane, as if the child was some demon sent from the bowels of the earth to further torment him.

However, after we took off the child slept the woke up an angel. Of course i took pictures of the little girl being fiussed over by the stewardess and eventually Rodney fell in love with both of them.

Everyone in Houston seems trained in being super friendly and welcoming.

I'm in a Head and Neck Surgeons exam room with Rodney waiting for to get examine. He's see the chairman of the department.
Anyway, they are now spraying his nasal cavity with a hose of drugs and the "stuff" , Rodney says he's realy good
The resident, Stacy is now interviewing him. She's pretty and talks like a vallley girl. (Somehow she may be influenced by her boyfriend a sytems manager at NASA).

I'll update progress later.

Asher

We have just had two specialists see Rodney.

They were unable to convert the Dicomad CT scan files to the for view here. So I searched and eventually found OsiriX - DICOM Viewer for Mac which is open source and they ask for contributions to support their free offering. The software downloaded and installed fine and it was first tough as the images played like a fast movie so one rushed up and down his neck in slices. Eventually found that hitting space bar allowed the movie to stop and then right and lift arrow progreses up and down the neck.

The PowerBook Pro is superb sor demonstrating the delicate gray scales. There is no way I have yet found to put on an S curve, but I'll export to CS2.

Now to the next doctor.

Asher
