Studio, Portrait, Still Life, Lighting Equipment and Technique Continuous and Strobe Lighting. (The Sun is considered continuous!) Great ideas are really ten a penny! Technique in setting up the subject is, of course, essential. However, the ability to bring out form, texture, tonality and color is where the skill in lighting provides all the keys to engraving one's ideas on the delivered picture.

Default Fun Family Portrait - On Location

I haven't shared many images recently but I HAVE been shooting (and writing, see "adventures" in the signature). I was working on these family portrait images and thought this one was quite fun. Its not perfect (see if you can spot the flaws... ha), but it is fun and happens to be Gramma's favorite!

C&C Welcome:

Hi Ed
Nice one! lot of fun. The kids are perfect!

This, Ed is indeed joy! Those munchkins make it! Is it you there or are you grandpa?

It's fascinating to me that removing merely 6 mm from the top seems to define the image one level more!

This will always be enjoyed by the family!

Asher

Very good Asher, but no, Dad is not a blood relative. I hadn't realized it but was told just yesterday that I look like my niece's husband. Thanks for the cropping tip - I will adjust and observe.

Nicholas, the tires are polished by mother nature I guess. I was certainly was not about to polish them!

It was fun. Kids are a LOT of work! I guess that is what makes them exciting... balls of bliss and energy and anything else they feel like.

If interested, there are a few more selections at www.threadster.com/freley-spring-2009/

I am open to comment and critique.
