outdoors panoramas from Romania

Hi Valentin,
Foarte bine făcut!
Panoramele sunt foarte frumos.
(Eu nu vorbesc bine româneşte, imi cer scuze!)

After a dozen years of having half my employees Romanian, you'd think I'd speak the language better.
Oh well, as they say, old dogs...new tricks. If you're laughing don't feel bad, I get it at work too!

thank you John for the kind words

I confront difficulties in choosing the right station point: it is seldom possible to find the same interest areas in all directions or at least to see something nice; therefore I make more photos and of course those require much more work

For those particular panoramas the place chosing was somehow democratically a decision of the group :)

Regarding your employees, I hope you're not too hard on them.

Valentin,

I often get lost n just one of your panoramas. However, I try to stop the world from spinning and get some control of the beauty.

In human matters we like to think our point of reference is unbiased. Actually it's always the opposite! Still, people often think the understand the nature of a matter from where they sit. Looking at spherical panoramas one realizes that it's all a matter of a self delusion wherein we think everything is pretty stable and is what it seems to be. Actually, what we see is so position dependent. What we normally perceive is normalized and appears to change less than it does.

I really enjoy this magical view. Everything changes with each slight change in position, and so it should. To those who do not habitually look at panoramas, you should not miss this one as there are so many views you can stop to enjoy.

Thanks for sharing!

What's your favorite view?

Asher

dear friend

while almost all our photographic life we learn to crop and compose, the reality is different - wider, so in fact the panormas are something to make justice to the way the world exists (even in the back, sideways, up and down). Everywhere there are details, for instance the clouds are fantastic - no wonder Angels live there :)

I was already very tired (because of a bad physical condition) and wet of the rain so the advice of my friends in deciding taking out the gear, thinking and discussing with them a little and taking the pictures (actually in the panoramas I posted here they had to insist)

there are still 15 more to prepare - many with station points close to those, so I will be able to decide when I finish them - say in a week or so. The filtered light from the dark clouds and the fresh green forest light make strong candidates for that best one :)

Surprisingly enough I can see the statistics of the visits they have (because I can't think of me as the average panorama internet viewer) and some un-interesting but maybe colorful ones or ones related to important touristic destinations get the most spectacular results; another surprise was the interior of the church in construction (probably where the priest has forwarded the link to a lot of aquaintances).
