Need Help to repair my 500mm 4.5L!!!

I own a Cannon 500mm 4.5L lens (non-IS). I love the lens but it has stopped working. According to the Canon folks, it is not longer supported and hence, the spare parts needed (a primary board) is no longer available from Canon. Does anyone out there have a repair reference or any advice on how and where I can get this puppy up and running again?

Hey Jeffrey,

Give Mike Rice at Fullerton cameras a call.

He was a tech rep for Canon for several years so he knows a few tricks.

He had the same problem with his 400mm f2.8L mkI and had it repaired by the shop he has repair most of the canon stuff I send him and the cost was 1/2 of what it might have been if Canon had the part.
