good move Nill. I know that you are going down the 1DS2 & 1DMK3 combo.
That is what I now have & funnily enough it did not really occur to me that there would be a benefit in having 2 different size sensors. However, since getting the MK3 I realized that the 1DS2 will be the perfect body to have my 16-35ll or 24-70 on for the WA benefit. While the MK3 can house the longer lenses & I get the benefit of the extra reach.
Very cool. I was thinking of selling the 1DS2 but in light of the above, I think I will be happy with the current status quo......for a while anyhow.
In case you are wondering, my sources tell me that the 1DSMK3 is at least 12 months off.
& just to reiterate, my opinion is that the MK3 either has no problem at all or an AF issue that occurs only in peculiar circumstances. There is a firmware update due in the next week or two & it will be interesting to see what that addresses.

Cheers,

Paul

I read just today on another forum that the 1Ds2 is entirely obsolete, definitely old school, not to mention overpriced. I'm sure you don't need yours any more. Drop me a PM and I'm sure we can come to terms. ;-)
