You went all the way to Montana to see bears? We had them right here in TO last year just walking down Lindero Canyon Rd! Frank would not let me go home to get the camera - oh but it was a California Black Bear. These are Montana Bears...never mind!

Nice pix! The pano is amazing!

I wasn't as lucky as some of my cotravelers: they had the black (like really BLACK, not brown) bear crossing the road right in front of their vehicle. I only saw them at 200..400 yards..:-(
Also each time I saw them it was already getting dark, so my poor 100-400 with 1.4 TC on it had a really hard time to focus, and even at ISO3200 I got a lot of camera shake, so most of my bear shots went straight to trash..:-(
