Last Saturday I attended a high school marching band competition at Moorpark High School, Moorpark, CA.

It was dark (9 pm) and extremely foggy. You could barely see the field from the top of the bleachers. Most of the performance shots turned out to be tossers.

However, sometimes you can turn your foe into your friend. I'm really glad how this one turned out:)

I really like the subtle color, the way the light flares right around the mouth, and the repeated shapes around the subject. Definitely a very interesting image.

An outstanding photograph Nik! I cover a lot of marching band competitions and I am always on the lookout for a something similar to this. A great capture, well done!!!
