Pinewood Panorama (flash high resolution)

Pinewood Panorama (flash)

This is the high resolution flash version of the Pinewood Panorama. I used PTgui to stich the panorama and Pano2VR to show the 40 MB flash file in the browser.

With Pano2VR I am able to showcase panoramic pictures in flash fullscreen mode. This is especially useful, when I want to show the same high res pictures to my client that he will use on his website later on. In the past I did not know how to deal with the high resolution pictures I was able to stitch, because I did not know how to implement it in html so that it may be presented in a web browser.

Bonsoir Karsten
this is very well done, precise and accurate! the only critique is the 40 Mb file to download before viewing! Fine for me with a pretty good dsl connection, but for some, I doubt they will have he patience to wait. And that's a pity!

Which RRS panorama head do you use?

Pinewood Panorama (flash low resolution)

This is the low resolution flash version of the pinewood panorama. I first resized the original 8-bit PTgui stitched picture to 6522 x 3261 pixel and applied USM 30/1/0 in Photoshop. I also changed the jpeg settings in Pano2VR from 100% to 28% and tried to get as close to 1.8 MB in Pano2VR for the flash file, just to make it comparable to the 1.8 MB java version. In small pixel sizes I prefer the java version over the flash version. Of course the flash full screen mode suffers from resolution and jpeg compression.

I use a RRS ballhead BH-40 with B2-40 LR clamp and RRS PCL-1 mounted with PCL-DVTL together with their Ultimate-Pro Omni-Pivot Package. For this pano the Panasonic DMC-LC1 was mounted with a short L84 plate in portrait orientation instead of the much to long MPR-CL II Nodal Slide... http://reallyrightstuff.com/pano/04.html

Helo Karsten
thnks for your reply, infos and precisions.

It loads now much faster! and on my MacBook Pro 1440x900 pixels the full screen is still very acceptable!

What is the weight of this file?

Have a nice Sunday!
