Ring Neck Ducks....Late evening

Ok, thought I post some of the liitle guys. Eagles usually fly out of the nest for one of these guys are a fellow cousin.
Shot's taken in the late evening with some cool looking colors on the lake.
All shots taken with the camera and lens 6" of the water.

Eric, these do look like little kids playing around. There camouflage and low profile in the water makes ia challenge to compose. However, the pictures work well together. Now do eagles ever hunt ducks or are they too heavy?

My first year watching this nest, but neighbors tell me they have seen ducks and fish going back to the nest. Research tells me these Eagles can carry 4 lbs easily.

I have seen Eagles at the Viera Wetlands pull Coots, Snowy Egrets and other type Ducks many times, Including big bass the snatch from the ponds.

What is truly amazing to watch but almost impossible to photograph is when the Eagles chase down the Osprey and steal their fish. Fish drops, Eagles swoops it up in mid air!! Awesome!

With such pictures, I agree to be a duck in my next life !
