Live rolling slideshow software for events

I am an event photographer, I have been asked on a few occasions to show my photos live at the event so that guests can see their images coming up quickly. I have looked at all the slide show software out there but they show all the images in a directory and have to be re-started every time I add new images.

Has anybody seen some slideshow software that auto loads the images as they are added to a directory and allows me to show say just the last 30 images, so the slide show always remains the same length and automatically shows new images as I add them? This is the key. For a live rolling slide show to work where guests at an event can see their images coming up on screen rapidly, the length of the slide show must not increase as new images are added. Older images need to be culled from the slide show whilst leaving the original images in the directory. For this to work well only the most recent images should be in the loop. This is presumably pretty specialist and probably needs to be specific software as opposed to a general workflow software such as PhotoMechanic. Any help appreciated.

Most of the event photographers I know are using ProShow Gold or Lightroom for the slideshows at the events. I've used Canon's ZoomBrowser. I bet Zoombrowzer "might" be able to do that. I don't see how you can import to Lightroom and run a slideshow at the same time.
