I am finding this too hard, I googled and found some companies that do this sort of thing, has anyone tried them? Is clipping path the same as deepetching.
http://www.deepetch.com seems to be one good one, I also saw
http://www.rapidclipping.com/Photoshop_clipping/home.htm and
http://www.ezyclipping.com. Has anyone had any experience with this sort of thing. My catalog has over 300 images of jewelery and jackets with fur fitted on manequins due in two weeks, all shot on a blue studio background. Do I require alpha channel masking? Can anyone help please?
Hi Alex,
Bill is Bill! There's something right there, perhaps but the edge is not my way!
Yes, we've all been in deep water at some time and we should learn from it. It's really very simple. Send 4 images to each of the guys and look at the results. They charge next to nothing!
Could you post here the 4 images you would choose and then we could see what happens to them one way or another. The places usually do a great job. I myself might use them since my time is more expensive. If I could put a brake on the passage of time, that would be better, but until then, always look at how you spend your time.
Did you explore the links you mentioned?
And BTW is this for your own portfolio or a job you have done for a client? If it's the latter, then at least next time you will be in a position to include these normal costs in your bid.
Good luck, I'm really interested in this task you have and how you deal with it. We'd really appreciate if you make this the place where you tackle the dilemma and make your pictures how you need them to be.
