The view I had for the 9 days I stayed at Ao-Nang Centara Grand beach resort and villas.

Ivan,

This has such balance between the rock and the boat. I'm so impressed and immediately reminded of the work Mark Hampton pointed us to today here, (in post #7), introducing us to the work of Olivia Parker.

Hi Asher.
Thank you for the kind words, I respect your opinion greatly and so, I am very pleased you like my photos.

The images were taken with my Canon 1Dx and then edited with my iPad which has become my chosen travelling companion for quick picture review and editing.

This image is one of the many Ao-Nang atolls dotted all over the island and was taken at low tide. The boat was anchored some distance away and was placed just right. I was on the hotel private beach soaking up the sun with my wife when the boat arrived and immediately envisioned this image. I went up to my room, picked up the camera and swam up to the boat (camera in a water tight bag) to take the shot.

I am very pleased and flattered to be compared with the great artistes you mentioned. I am just grateful I was there to capture this image which I intend to commercialise, print very large and hung on my wall.

Once again thank you for the kind words Asher.

Hey Ivan, what a wonderful picture. I love the analogy with the boat and the rocky outcrop...

I am off on holiday to Krabi on the 27th this weekend for two weeks. It would be nice to find out what you thought of the place in regard to taking pictures...

Hi Paul.
Thank you for the kind feedback.
Krabi is a wonderful place to which my wife and I return to every year.
The opportunities for great scenery image taking are plentiful even in adverse weather.
I will advise hiring a moped (150Baht/day) or other motorised vehicle and just go on and adventure with your camera.
Hoping to see your work on Krabi soon.
Wishing you a pleasant and a great holiday.
Regards
Ivan
