Esteemed OPFers,
Recently, at the request of a fellow member, I have for a little while stood down from posting any technical dissertations (other than those prompted by others' inquiries) so as not to in any way impede, discourage, or dilute the flow of photographs and discussions thereof, the real purpose of this esteemed forum.
The result has been very rewarding. Stuart, all be he still rather disabled by a painful neurological problem, made the effort to process and post for us some lovely photos of an antique farm equipment festival. And it drew a comment (from some other Scottish guy - it included something about hit-and-miss speed control).
And I even posted a picture of a big mansion in the foothills near my home, and solicited advice on the best processing of images of that type. Asher and Bart gave some useful tips.
So I've done my part on all three legs of this stool.
As in the story of the young fellow who had just learned that he and his younger siblings were not the biological offspring of then person they thought of as their father, and each gave an emotional reaction, and now it was up to the eldest to react:
"I dunno about the rest of you bastards, but I'm going to play some ball."
Best regards,
Doug
Only half Scottish, actually.
