Thanks for bringing us this information. I didn't know that Rockwell actually staged his figures and had pictures taken first before painting them. The B&W photographs are, in themselves interesting.

I didn't know it either, but I suspected that was the case. Doesn't make me like them any more or less than before though. I bet his style of drawings would be quite difficult without photographic reference!
