of generations of passed on skills. Some might call it Parfum.
Let's just call it Oudh.
I cannot fathom the intricacies and sophistication of various wine. Wine is wine to a non-drinker.
The one from the local grocery store or the one nurtured with care, matured for ages in dark cellars, wooden caskets left for the next generation to savor..But there must be a huge difference.
So is Oudh. From the bark of a tree. The specialist knows from where. The specialist knows how it was
made.
The subtler the smell, the higher the price. The most expensive incense burned on formal occasions for a few hours can be very very very high.
No it is not from the house of Madame Coco, neither from Marcus Neimann. This one is specially made
to order, a particular mixture. The beads are pure jade. The ring is gold. The bracelet is of course made locally by an international jeweler's branch.
The liquid inside the bottle is a dream from ' one night and a thousand nights '. Priceless. If one values
and cherishes the art and craft of the ancestors.
Next time someone says Oudh, don't rush to a shop in Oxford Street. Get it from those who are really knowledgeable about the product.
p.s these are not our belongings.
