Cedric,
A remarkable geometry! The L-shape dark mass with a thick base leaves only a small corner in the upper right for light. There we see the silhouettes against the bright sky. The diagonal shadow going over the windows adds a motif of contrast between light and dark, a complex argument and balance that might reflect a conversation we cannot hear.
The horizontal beams of wood, with well marked grain provides a skeleton "score" for pacing the drama. There should be music for this!
