I have been thinking about a number of topics of late and one area that I think it owuld be interesting to find out what you all do concernns the choice of print size. My concern is not around 'how big can I print'(!), but how do we select a size for our prints and what is it's relation to our (artistic) intent in maing the image in the first place.
Recently I visited an exhibition in Leeds where the main prints ranged from maybe 18 by 12 inches up to something like 60 by 40 or bigger. The biggest prints were shot around 1969 (iirc) and given the 'streetish' nature I would expect they were on 35mm, so not the sort of thing that would normally fet that treatment.
In the exhibition space the big prints worked really well and rather than being imposing remained inviting.
Any comments or thoughts?
Cheers
