Been there - Done that

A friend just sent this pic of me shooting her sister’s wedding 40 years ago.

So simple then 🤪—— Looking down through the top lens at a reversed left to right image and make adjustments to composition, anticipate parallax correction, turn the bellows wheel back and forth until focus was achieved, crank the film onto the next frame with one lever, cock the shutter beside the lens and then fire with the shutter button. Plus balance a bulky flash head with big hanging battery pack.

And the cool thing to do now, is to return to this. 😳 Been there, done it all. No Thanks

Wonderful memories with incredible thigh quality memory maker!

Was that a Mamiya 330 by any means?

My father in law used a C330 for decades until he switched to Hassalblads.

That influenced me to get the Bronica SQ, a poorer man’s equivalent 6 cm x 6 cm camera with film and Polaroid backs!

By chance, my wife pulled out a perfectly packed black camera bag of Bronica camera, lenses and backs. I wonder if any are still loaded with film!
