My World: Farewell to the Colonel

My wife Jennie and her siblings were finally able to lay their parents to rest last week in the beautiful Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA. Her dad, retired US Marine Corp Colonel Alfred Drago, and her mother Katrina Drago were given full military honors by the Corp. It was a very moving and powerful experience that I was lucky enough to attend. This photo, with the Pentagon in the background, was taken in route to their grave sight. It was only a part of the procession. There was also a full band, honor guard, and riflemen giving a 21 gun salute. We were in the Washington DC area for a week and did some normal tourist stuff as well but this day stands out to me as the most memorable. Thank you for looking. PS - I head out at first light tomorrow morning on my driving adventure from Tucson to Chicago. Our new life awaits us.
