I've been limping along with a photo blog on livejournal, largely because I already had an LJ and it was trivial to add another. However, I don't have as much control over the display of my images as I'd like, so I'm looking for alternatives.
I've tried looking at the various photoblogs I like, but, with the exception of Chromasia, I haven't been able to find out what software they use (at least I'm assuming that he uses pixyBlog, given that he says he's sponsored by them). My favorite (both in content and blog layout) is A Walk Through Durham Township, Pennsylvania.
So... can anyone suggest good software/hosting sites that you have used? I run my own server, so I can host images or the whole blog myself if need be (assuming it will run on Linux/Apache). I'm transitioning to working on a Mac instead of Linux, so something that requires Mac software to update it is viable. Requiring Windows software is right out, though.
